Encapsulation

The sealing of rigid asbestos within buildings which is sound, firmly adhering to a surface and not subject to mechanical damage, in particular rigid asbestos in locations which are concealed and difficult to access, such as service ducts, roof and ceiling voids, also can be used to repair pipe insulation by using a cloth membrane to wrap the damaged insulation and then coat with the encapsulating agent.

The encapsulation agent can be hand painted, rolled or sprayed on to the surface of any asbestos products including pipe insulation, sprayed asbestos, asbestos insulation boards, asbestos cement sheets and pipes.

These methods can effectively prevent the release of asbestos and other fibres into the atmosphere by encapsulation.

Also to protect asbestos insulation boards or asbestos cement boards from possible mechanical damage where the cost of removal would far out reach the cost of repairs and encapsulation, the AIB can be encapsulated using metal sheeting and sheet metal corner pieces of any size or shape that can be manufactured at our Hartlepool factory.

A sealer coating based upon a unique adhesive-grade resin, highly plasticised for outstanding flexibility to withstand normal movement within a building and to the components within a building and incorporating Flame Retardant additives.
Water based, solvent free, low odour, it is safe and easy to use.
